[CANCELLED] 2023 Winter GSI Operations & Maintenance Training Course

This immersive and experiential multi-day course provides landscape professionals with a basic framework and the tools needed to expand their portfolio, advance their skillset, and build knowledge of GSI and sustainable stormwater management to increase their business’s bottom line. This course balances virtual classroom instruction with in-the-field learning and brings together expert instructors from the public and private sectors, including SBN’s GSI Partners members and the Philadelphia Water Department.

Attendees will leave this course with a basic understanding of the regulatory context of stormwater management, BMPs, and their components, how to maintain the vegetation and above-ground components using adaptive and prescriptive management techniques, and how to diagnose and respond to safety and performance issues. 

This year, we are offering our course in two separate sessions. The Winter session in February 2023 will focus on foundational knowledge of GSI and post-construction maintenance and processes, while the second session in Summer 2023 will center around maintaining and monitoring of vegetation and ensuring green components of projects are successful and efficient. We strongly encourage students to enroll in both courses to get the fullest understanding of the operations & maintenance of GSI projects.
