Pursuing the Road to Equity: Gender and Racial Equity Training #1
SBN and RAISE: High Roads Restaurants presents the first of three training sessions on fostering equity in the restaurant industry.
This first module will address core principles of racial justice analysis and practice. In this session, restaurant owners and leaders can expect to discuss institutional vs. individual racism, proactive systemic interventions, and accountability measures through discussion and active engagement. The course is lead by jeanie chunn, Director of Engagement for RAISE: High Road Restaurants. Attendance is required to participate and complete the three-part coursework. Pre-register for Module #2 and Module #3.
RAISE: High Road Restaurants is a national network of restaurant and bar owners committed to race and gender equity in the restaurant sector. They provide restaurant management with practical resources for determining to what extent racially inequitable policies and practices are operating in restaurants and how to transform them.
