Summary

Join SBN and others for an in-depth conversation with Acting Secretary of the Commonwealth Leigh Chapman about her department's efforts to ensure the integrity of the electoral system and the importance of businesses encouraging their employees to vote.

Description

The Pennsylvania Business community has an essential role to play in the November 2022 General Election. Through ensuring that accurate election information is distributed, we can have confidence that our elections are secure, accessible and efficient.

On September 7th, Acting Secretary of the Commonwealth Leigh Chapman will brief PA's business community on her department's efforts for November 2022, and how we can maximize the engagement of employees, customers, and community members in the next election.

Learn about the steps state and county officials are taking to account for the large number of expected mail-in ballots, report the results in a timely manner, and make sure the security systems are in place to guarantee that every valid ballot is counted. The goal, as Ms. Chapman will explain, is to administer the election in a way so that the results are widely trusted.

Ms. Chapman previously served as executive director of Deliver My Vote. She also held senior leadership positions at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and other nonpartisan, nonprofit election reform and advocacy organizations. From 2015 to 2017, Chapman served as policy director at the PA Department of State, advancing key agenda items including the implementation of electronic voter registration.
